Imminent Occurrence pieces are not mass-produced or standardized into identical units. They are made in small runs, with available leather, workshop constraints, and ongoing pattern decisions shaping each batch.
That means no two pieces are exactly the same. Natural grain, weight, tone, finish, and handwork change from run to run. As we continue developing our longer-term production process, we are also updating features, pattern details, fit, hardware decisions, and construction methods.
Limited runs, changing materials
Each run carries its own material character. The leather we source is not treated as a flat, repeatable surface. One batch may have a different weight, pull, finish, or tonal variation than the next. This is part of the work, not a defect.
For that reason, these pieces are closer to one-of-a-kind objects than fixed industrial stock. Future versions may share a silhouette or construction language, but they will not be exact copies of the first pieces.
The first batches will remain the most singular
The first collection is especially limited because it sits at the point where we are still plotting out the longer-term production process. The early pieces show the transition from prototype, sample, and small workshop production into a more stable system.
That makes the first batches the most unique. They carry the decisions, experiments, and material limits of the launch period. Later production will become more refined, but it will not erase the specific character of these first pieces.
Launch pricing will not last
The introductory prices currently shared with the launch of our site and collection are temporary. They reflect the beginning of the project, the first public release, and the early stage of the production system.
As the collection develops, pricing will change to reflect the true cost of small-run leather production, workshop time, material sourcing, and the complexity of making these pieces properly.
If you want a piece from the first Imminent Occurrence collection, the safest moment to purchase is now. Purchasing today is the clearest way to guarantee that you have something from the first release, before later runs, updated features, and future pricing take over.
After Berlin Fashion Week SS27
This note follows the success of our Berlin Fashion Week SS27 presentation, Inauguration, developed with KEYI Magazine and Studio5 as part of the Studio5 x KEYI Magazine Fashion & Film Experience.
The presentation brought together Imminent Occurrence’s handmade leather work with performance and sound, including a collaboration with Valentin Tszin and improvisational sound by Makoto Sakamoto.
