The IO Engineers are built in homage to the field workers, factory hands, riders, makers, repairers, and craftspeople whose labor shaped the world beneath our feet. They carry the classic engineer boot form into the Imminent Occurrence handmade movement: disciplined, utilitarian, and made with quiet industrial force.
This pair is made with custom leather from local maker Benito, finished with a special half-wax, half-oil treatment. The leather is meant to reveal grey and charcoal undertones through wear, movement, and light. It is not a flat black. It is a living black: dimensional, worked, and ready to mark its own history.
The boot features a mid-calf shaft, double buckle straps, rounded toe, stacked leather heel, and a grounded profile made for long wear and hard surfaces. The finish will crease, expose, darken, and soften over time, giving each pair its own record of use.
