The Zapata Vaquero is our 3/4-height nod to Mexican boot and leather history, shaped with the help of many craftspeople, and artists we’ve worked with over the years to launch the Imminent Occurrence handmade movement.
It is a slender, passionate take on a classic boot from the region where this tradition was born, updated with the IO flagship leather emblem embossment and our own custom leather construction.
The upper combines aged silver leather accents, a natural thin black shaft, soft leather lining, and an oil-finished toe and vamp. Built on our original “Normal” last, the boot is finished with a gloss leather sole, an all-leather heel, and a pure rubber grip for traction.
Handmade with all-leather components, Goodyear welt sole stitching, and traditional stitched-and-nailed construction. Never glued. Made to form precisely to your feet over time.
